Jake DeBrusk has been put on long-term injured reserve by the Boston Bruins.
The team said that DeBrusk had injuries in the win over the Pens. He scored both of Boston's goals in the third period, including the game winning goal.
He needs to miss at least 10 games and 24 days of the season. His recovery time is four weeks, according to the team.
In 36 games, DeBrusk has 16 goals and 14 assists. He has two goals on the team. He had a career high of 27 in the most recent year.
After requesting a trade last season, his first half of the season has been a positive one. Don Sweeney couldn't find a taker throughout the year, so he signed DeBrusk to a two-year, $8 million extension in March to facilitate a deal.
In the summer, DeBrusk had a change of heart, and he has had a bigger role this season.
