Note: While award availability had been pulled for this property for the past several days, it’s now back, and it looks like there’s even more availability than before. If you’re interested in booking this property with points, now is your chance. Below you can find the original post from December 27, 2022. |
One of the best uses of World of Hyatt points at the moment is an all-inclusive resort in Mexico.
The acquisition of Apple Leisure Group by Hyatt included contracts for the brand's 100 properties. A lot of people are excited about Hyatt adding a bunch of all-inclusive properties to its portfolio.
One property in Mexico that I am interested in is an all-inclusive. Secrets Impression Moxché is open for adults in Playa del Carmen. It is possible that it is an amazing use of points.
A free night redemption costs 21,000-29,000 points per night, depending on whether the property is off-peak, standard, or peak.
This may be the most expensive all-inclusive property in Hyatt's portfolio. The hotel is bookable for 25,000 World of Hyatt points when the cash rate is $1,916.
The property is available for 21,000 World of Hyatt points per night during off-peak times.
World of Hyatt points are 1.5 cents each, so suffice it to say that this is an incredible use of points. You can instantly transfer over points with World of Hyatt being a transfer partner with Chase Ultimate rewards.
If you want to book a stay here at these points rates, you need to act fast. Hyatts often have low categories when they first open, and then the categories go up pretty quickly.
Based on the points cost and cash cost, I think that will be the case here. The less premium part of the property charges the same amount of points.
The redemption value here is amazing in terms of comparing the points cost to the cash cost. It's possible to get over five cents of value per World of Hyatt point.
It doesn't mean that it's worth taking advantage of just because it's a good value. If you like the idea of an all-inclusive vacation, then you should book this now.
What about everyone else? I like to travel to Mexico for the food, friendly people, and beautiful landscape, but I don't like all-inclusives and the Cancun area isn't my favorite.
The property looks like it could be solid, so I am tempted by it. The number of nonstop flights from the U.S. to Mexico makes it easy to visit for a long weekend. There are a few things to keep in mind.
The Hyatt website has a lot of information, but the resort website has a lot more.
The Secrets Impression Moxché in Playa del Carmen is now part of the World of Hyatt. When cash rates are consistently $1,000-2,000, Hyatt points are an amazing use of them.
If this interests anyone, I would recommend booking as soon as possible.
Is Secrets Impression Moxché a good place to redeem points?
There is a tip to Gk.
