Although the sale is marketed as a deal for one-way fares, you can still get discounted rates if you stack two one-way tickets. I found a flight that was slightly cheaper than advertised.

The lowest fares are likely to be Blue Basic tickets. Travelers in this class are only allowed one personal item that can fit under the seat in front of them. If you bring a full-size carry-on bag to the gate, you'll have to pay a fee. For a first or second checked bag, the fee is $65 and for a third bag, it's $180.

The winners and thelosers are in the new loyalty program.

Blue Basic and Blue Blue don't include checked baggage, so you'll have to pay an extra $35 for your first bag and $45 for your second bag. You can save $5 if you add your bags in advance. Basic fares have change and cancel fees as well as upgrade fees.

Maximize your purchase

Bonus points can be earned on airfare purchases. The JetBlue Plus Card can be used for 6 points per dollar on eligible purchases, the JetBlue Card can be used for 3 points per dollar on eligible purchases, and the JetBlue Business card can be used for 6 points per dollar on eligible purchases.

The Platinum Card from American Express is 5 points per dollar on airfare booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel and can be used for up to $500,000 per year.
