There is a shared ride service for people with disabilities in Boston's public transportation model. NBC News reported that the city is considering the idea of free public buses. According to The Boston Herald, the city is getting $66 million in federal funding to update one of its subway stations, even though riders of theMBTA have complained about chronic delays. The New York City metro system needs to be modernized and federal funding has come through for some of the work. According to The New York Times, the city is going to have a $3 billion budget deficit in the next ten years.
