Insider spoke with attendees after the event was closed to the media. The sponsors of the event were shown in a copy of the program by Insider.

The event received national attention due to the fact that DeSantis is considered a GOP front-runner for the presidential election in four years' time. Donald Trump is the only one who has officially declared his candidacy.

The governor has refused to say if he will serve out all four years as governor.

He took a victory lap after being reelected. The last event of the inauguration was the ball. A guest who attended several inauguration events overheard people on the plane call the festivities "DeSantis-Palooza."

Thousands of people dressed in ballgowns, tuxedos, and sequined clothing made their way to the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center for the ball, which featured a brass band with two female and two male singers.

Two guests leaving the event said that the songs "My Girl" and "I Can't Get No" were included. The governor didn't say anything.

There was a general admission that was more crowded than the dance floor in the basketball arena, which had an open bar. Guests received koozies as party favors, and those in the general admission area snacked on finger foods.

There was a photo station with the governor's seal behind it.

The food was inventive and good, according to Bill Diamond. He said he was a huge fan of the governor. Diamond said the governor would win and that he was the future of this country.

Several events preceded the ball

At the swearing-in ceremony, there was a regal ensemble that included white gloves and a dress from Australian designer AlexPerry. According to the Daily Mail, people in attendance said the dress reminded them of Onassis.

One source who attended multiple inauguration events said that clients came back and said that it was very Kennedy-ish.

A speech was given to a national audience by the speaker. The congressman from Florida said that the man was a national figure. The Florida House member said he was looking forward to working with the new governor to keep the state beautiful.

Between 80 to 100 people from the faith community prayed with the governor in the Historic Capitol ahead of the swearing-in ceremony. He said that Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuez and her husband were also present.

The group prayed for his protection and continued strength.

After the ceremony, she hosted a toast to 1 million women at the Governor's Mansion as a thank you.

A source who attended a tour of the mansion said that the governor and first lady warned about the influence of the "woke left" in their speeches.

In the months ahead, he is expected to double down on policies begun during his first term, in which he limited discussions about sexual orientation and gender identity in classes up to third grade.

The festivities officially began on Monday evening with a dinner at Florida State University that was provided by Carbone, a trendy restaurant in New York. Carbone's is one of the most popular restaurants in the area.

One attendee at the dinner said that the co-owner of Carbone's parent company talked about how his business was able to expand in Florida while other states shut down. "The Free State of Florida" was the theme of the weekend and the Monday-night menu paid homage to the couple's Italian heritage.

There was a previous version of the story that said the DeSantises danced to "Sweet Florida." They danced to the song on stage.
