Kevin Schade will be playing for the Bees until the end of the year.

The deal is expected to be made permanent for a club-record undisclosed fee in the summer, with the player set to sign a five-year contract.

Ivan Toney will be supported by the Germany Under-21 international.

"I think Kevin is a typical Brentford signing," Bees boss Thomas Frank told the club's website.

We see a big potential in him. We have been following him for a long time and we think he will fit in with our style of play.

While the knee injury Toney sustained at West Ham on 30 December was not significant, his short-term future remains uncertain as he has been charged by the FA with 262 breeches of betting rules.

He scored four goals in 21 appearances for the German side after making his first team debut.

The 21-year-old is eligible to represent both Germany and Nigeria at international level because he was born to German and Nigerian parents.

He has scored four goals for Germany.

Frank said that he could play anywhere on the front three. He could play on the wing or the central strikers.

He is very promising in the way he runs.

The Community Stadium was a hive of activity on Monday as the Bees beat the Reds.
