Chrysler will be an electric-only company by the year 2000. It needs an interior that accentuates the shift to an emission free future. Chrysler has created a cockpit that will be used by future EV owners to show off a host of new technologies.
If these images are any indication, there won't be physical buttons. There will be many screens.
The demonstrator is meant to show off the software.
The demonstrator is supposed to bring together a host of software, including the STLA Brain operating system. The goal of the Synthesis concept is to show all of the products in one place.
Chrysler says its cockpit demonstrator is designed to help manage the chaos of everyday life with thoughtfully connected technology and a sustainable environment that anticipates and delivers harmony in motion with every customer experience. Chrysler believes that by anticipating the driver's needs before they step inside the vehicle, it will be possible to achieve this.
As the software of the vehicle begins to plot your day, it will note when your appointments are and where. EV charging stops along the way are necessary in order to navigate to all your destinations. A virtual assistant will greet you when you step inside the vehicle.
It will be possible for the vehicle to handle all the driving tasks within a designated area without any human input. It is hands-free and eyes-off driving.
There are also meditation, karaoke, and DJ games on offer. Chrysler is ready to jump on the bandwagon and provide in-car gaming experiences.
Chrysler's Airflow was the inspiration for the design of the Synthesis cockpit. The concept was supposed to be a preview of what to expect. Airflow is a historic brand and the concept car is an indication of the future direction.
