There are two words that will make a game player weak at the knees. We aren't saying Driver-X was inspired by Nintendo, but the comparisons will be inevitable. Driver-X's virtual reality gloves can be used as a sensory feedback tool for objects in a virtual world and a virtual reality controller. The company claims to be the first to use micro coils in a virtual reality glove. The coil surrounds your fingers and when a current is applied it contracts a connected film to provide a more realistic sensory experience. The controller part uses gestures and hand postures to mimic buttons. It is a logical way to add extra function as the whole point is to not have something in the real world. The price may be more interesting. The Contact Glove starts at around $1,850 and is considerably less than some of the alternatives. If you want to get your hands in a pair, the gloves are currently being crowdfunded. At the very least, the goal has been achieved, and we did see a demo here at the show.
