In a rare display on Tuesday, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was spotted speaking with the unlikeliest of her congressional colleagues.
On Tuesday, she spoke to Gaetz on the floor of congress. Considering how they have clashed and how different they are, the conversation between the two came as a big surprise.

Gaetz told her that House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy is trying to convince the GOP he can cut a deal with the Democrats to become House Speaker.
She told Gaetz that the Democrats wouldn't help McCarthy. McCarthy didn't get the votes he needed to become the speaker. The number of people who voted against him went up.
"McCarthy wanted the Democrats to walk away to lower his threshold," she said. I fact checked and said no.
In a strange turn of events, Gosar was also seen sitting next to Ocasio-Cortez who nodded and smiled.

Gosar asked if the Democrats would help McCarthy get the speakership by leaving the chamber and lowering the vote threshold. She told Gosar the same thing she told Gaetz, that her party wouldn't help McCarthy.
The conversation between her and Gosar was discussed by Ferris. Ferris was told by the New York congresswoman that she would back Hakeem Jeffries.
The congresswoman has been friends with Gosar for a long time. He shared a "fantasy video" of himself killing her, prompting her to call him a "creepy member I work with who fundraises for neo-Nazi groups". Gosar had his committee positions taken away by the Congress. He compared his censure to Alexander Hamilton's for posting the video.
Gosar did not apologize for the video during their discussion on Tuesday, according to the woman.
Gosar made fun of the exchange, posting a picture of himself and the woman smiling.
The engine was a miracle of engineering that people take for granted. Gosar is on social media.

Gosar wrote on Tuesday that he and Ocasio-Cortez were talking about the problem of the prior speakerships having too much authority and that each member's contribution to the debate was minimized. The congressman didn't say if he and the woman agreed on the issue.
The conversations with Gaetz and Gosar caught the attention of people. Someone needs to get a lip reader to read the conversation between Gaetz and Ocasio-Cortez.
The conversations attracted the ire of a right-wing congresswoman who supported McCarthy for speaker.
Making plans with Democrats is not what any Republican should be doing "First Gaetz and Good, now Gosar, I worry that they all found something in common in not supporting McCarthy," he wrote. They don't speak to her.
Representatives for Gaetz, Gosar, and others did not respond to Insider's questions.
The House failed to choose a speaker on Tuesday after right-wing Republicans refused to back McCarthy. The House has not picked a speaker on the first vote in 100 years.
The voting is expected to continue on Wednesday.
