According to the team, Zion Williamson has a right hamstring strain.

The team said that he will be reexamined in 3 weeks.

In a loss to the 76ers in Philadelphia, there was an injury to Williamson. The ball was pushed up court after the rebound from the missed shot. He felt something in his right leg as he crossed the half court line.

Dyson Daniels grabbed at his right leg as he passed the ball to his teammate.

After a missed shot, a foul was called on Philadelphia's Tyrese Maxey for a fast-break layup by New Orleans center Jonas Valanciunas.

The team got back to New Orleans to see the extent of the injury and that's when they had an exam on him.

Willie Green didn't have an update on his player's status other than that he would miss the game against Houston.

He has played in 29 games for New Orleans this year. He missed two games in October due to a hip contusion after a hard fall. He missed three games with a foot contusion after stepping on Garuba's foot while driving to the basket.

There were health and safety protocols that caused Williamson to miss a few games.

This season, he has averaged 26.0 points, 7.0 rebound, 4.6 assists and 1.1 steals. He is shooting from the field and line.

One of the best months was December. He scored a career-best 43 points in a game against the Minnesota Wolves.

New Orleans has been dealing with an injury to forward Brandon Ingram, who hasn't played in over a month because of a toe contusion.

Green said that he hasn't completed a full practice yet, but that he was doing more on the floor. The game against the Astros is listed as out as well.
