Many fans are left wondering which actors will stay in the franchise after James Gunn took over DC Films. It's clear that any actor can lose their role in the DC Extended Universe if they choose to do so.

It is too early to say who will stay and who will leave, as fans are bitter about the changes to the franchise, and there are more reports about other actors possibly leaving. Many audiences would rather forget some of the casting choices in the DCEU, but there are still some actors that fans would like to see continue playing in the films.

Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam

After Black Adam flopped at the box office, it was understandable that the sequel would benixed. The performance by Johnson as Black Adam proves that he deserves a second chance to play him. Audiences haven't seen Rock's character come to blows with either Superman or Shazam.

According to Deadline, the man is still looking for a way to have Johnson return as Black Adam. Even if the Rock's version of the antihero doesn't get a sequel film, he should still get another chance at the spotlight as a project with better writing can revive his character.

Jurnee Smollett as Black Canary

Her well-rounded performance in Birds of Prey made her a fan favorite. A spin-off centered around her character has been in the works for a while, but it is not certain if those plans will go through.

She should get another chance to rock the DC Universe in her own project or as a member of the new Justice League despite this. It would be interesting to see her as part of one of DC's most recognizable power couples with Green Arrow, since she has only given a glimpse of what her character is capable of.

Zachary Levi as Shazam

When the DCEU was in a dark place, Zachary Levi came along and brightened things up with his performance. Levi captured the silliness of Billy Batson as the title character, and audiences felt like they were watching a teenage boy in a superhero costume.

Levi's character deserves to have his story go beyond the first film. Since the character is one of the most powerful superhero in the DC Universe, he should be given a more significant presence outside of his own franchise.

Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn

Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, screaming

There is no guarantee that Harley Quinn will be the same in the new DC Universe as she was in TheSuicide Squad. It's important to reiterate thatRobbie is one of the most definitive versions of HarleyQuinn. She shows a complex and sympathetic character who still has more room for development, which includes her famous romance with Poison Ivy, which she has been trying to see in the DCEU for so long. There is no denying that her character still came out as one of the best in the films.

Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman 1984 on HBO Max.

Gadot should continue to play Wonder Woman in the DC Universe despite the recent cancellation of the third film. Gadot's Wonder Woman is one of the best things to come out of the DCEU, with her first solo film now seen as one of the best comic books of all time.

Gadot came to embody the spirit of Wonder Woman that was different than that of Carter. She carried every one of her DC films with her performance in Justice League. It is difficult to imagine playing Wonder Woman in a movie.
