If you hit a woman, never apologize in the first place. Dana White was seen getting into a physical altercation with his wife at a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas on New Year's Eve. According to witnesses, the couple got into an argument before Anna slapped White first, with White responding by hitting her and trying to hit her again, as the duo needed to be separated.

White admitted that he and Anna were drinking a lot and that was an excuse for their bad behavior. White didn't shy away from the situation or pretend that it's not a big deal. He told the website, "You've heard me say for years, 'There's never ever an excuse for a guy to put his hands on a woman.' and now here I am talking about it.'" White and his wife have been together for 30 years. We've known each other for a long time. This is one of those situations where we have been through a lot and we have three children.

Both White and his wife spoke to TMZ

To say that this is out of character for him is an understatement, according to Anna. We both drank too much on New Year's Eve and things got out of hand. As a family, we apologized to each other.

The UFC is a combat sports league. There is no point in watching first-class athletes try to punch, kick, wrestle and submit their opponents. There has been a domestic violence problem with the sport for a long time. White is in the middle of his own indefensible actions instead of being a decision-maker for how his fighters are punished. If the president of a major sports organization was caught on camera hitting their spouse, would they still be employed?

White has made it clear that his fighters will not be allowed to engage in domestic violence. Apologizing to your spouse is fine, but will White be held responsible for hitting a woman if he does the same thing again? It's probably not. People in power are able to get away with bad things.
