I agree with the letter writers' concern about the Rep.-elect's fabrication of his background. Extrapolating responsibility for the lies of one man to the entire GOP is not the right response.

American history has a lot of dishonest behavior from members of both political parties. Back in the 1980s, President Biden exaggerated his academic record and was accused of plagiarizing.

Let's not make the mistake of thinking that dishonest people are the only guilty people.
