If you had to leave your home, what would you bring?

Makar Marynoshenko didn't have much time to think about what to put in his backpack.

He was aware that his football boots would be with him wherever he went.

At the age of six, he was a member of the academy.

He didn't sign his first contract with the club because of the war.

He could see Russians in the sky from his window.

They fled the country with his mother and brother.

Their house was destroyed by Russian troops.

Makar wants to become a professional footballer.

He made friends in Omagh with the help of football.

"I enjoy the thrill, fun, and excitement," said Makar.

It's very enjoyable when you score a goal.

He has taught his friends how to celebrate a goal.

A family is being hosted by a woman who is a big fan of football.

She said that they arrived at the end of May on the night of the final of the European club competition.

The two boys were very interested in that.

The beginning of the craic was when they wanted Real Madrid to win and I wantedLiverpool to win.

The talent of Makar was noticed by youth coaches at the club.

They sorted out a problem with his visa and he was able to play in the Foyle Youth Cup.

His football exploits have kept him busy.

She admits that it has been time- consuming at times, but that it has been enjoyable.

"We tried to point him in the right direction and get extra coaching and try to keep the standard up that he was used to when he was with Dynamo Kyiv."

"Una was like my agent, finding him a club and organizing training," said Makar.

Makar wants the war in Ukraine to end so that he can return to his father's house.

My emotions will be better if the war ends. He promised to be happy.

He is using his time at Drumragh Integrated College to improve his footballing and goal celebrations.
