According to tech analyst Jeff Pu, Apple's next-generation iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have several new features.
In a research note for Hong Kong investment firm Haitong International Securities, Pu outlined his expectations for the iPhone 15 lineup, which he said will include a 6.1-inch iPhone 15, 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro MAX. He expects the Pro models to have a titanium frame and solid state volume and power buttons. The Pro models are expected to have more memory than the Pro models.
The three features have already been rumored by other sources, like leaker "AppleShrimpPro" and analyst "Ming- Chi Kuo".
The A17 Bionic chip used in the iPhone 15 Pro models will be the same chip used in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models, according to Pu. He said that all four models will have a modem.
The periscope technology for increased optical zoom is expected to be included in the telephoto lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Pu expects the rear camera lens on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus to be similar to the one on the Pro models.
Pu is cautious about the stock prices of companies in Apple's supply chain. Pu expects Apple's product shipments to decline on a year-over-year basis in the next five years.
Pu has a mixed track record when it comes to predicting Apple's future plans, but he gave a lot of information about the new models today. In September, Apple is expected to announce its new line of phones.
