The popularity of national park vacations was increased due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. These trips are extremely popular.

During the summer, there are large crowds due to the high demand. Some people have begun to wake up before the sun rises to get an early start at Arches National Park in Utah. Park officials are having to manage attendance at America's parks.

Glacier National Park in Montana will resume its timed ticket system in the summer of 2023, but there will be restrictions on additional entrances as well.

The Going-to-the-Sun Road spans 50 miles and crosses the Continental Divide in the Rockies. One of the most popular parts of Glacier is the most scenic highway in the U.S. It's a good idea to plan your visit in advance.

If you enter from the West entrance you will be able to see the views between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. At that time of day, the park is at its busiest. Glacier tickets will go on sale on February 1st. You should add a reminder to your calendar to make sure you don't miss out. If you want to avoid disappointment, you should book well in advance because demand far outweighs the reservation supply in Glacier National Park.

Visitors who hold reservations for lodging, camping, transportation or commercial activity within the Going-to-the-Sun Road corridor, Many Glacier or Two Medicine areas can use their reservations for entry instead of a $2 ticket.

New for 2023

There were additional entrances added to the reservation system. The decision to add Many Glacier and Two Medicine valleys to the reservation system was based on data collected over the past two years, according to park officials.

Between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., there will be reservations required for the east side St Mary entrance.

Visitors can visit Two Medicine and Many Glacier before 6 a.m. and after 3 p.m., if they have a reservation.

There will be two different types of booking windows for vehicle reservations.

A block-release system will allow reservations to be made four months or 120 days in advance. Reservations can be made through Recreation.gov at 8 a.m. On Feb.1, 2023. There will be a round of reservations available from May 26 to June 30.

The reservation areas for Going-to-the-Sun Road, Northfork, Two Medicine and Many Glacier will be included in the next release. Reservations will be available for the entire month of August on April 1, 2023. Reservations will be available for Sept. 1 through Sept. 10. Some of the reservations will be available on a rolling basis at 8 a.m. It's in advance.

The tickets will only be valid for three days in the future. The goal was to give more people the chance to experience Going-to-the-Sun Road.

The Parks Service says it can be done in about two hours if you don't stop. What is the purpose of that? It is assumed that you will take a few stops to see the amazing sights and take some nice photos, so you should be able to complete the drive in four hours.
