There's times when I watch Caleb Williams and I see the next Patrick Mahomes.

After transferring from Oklahoma, the upside is obvious. Entering the day, Williams had 4,125 passing yards and 37 touchdown in 13 games. He added 372 rushing yards and 10 touchdown runs to help him win the award.

He can't do everything, and the rest of USC wasn't as good on Monday.

The Tulane offense averaged 13 yards per pass attempt and 9 yards per rush. The Green Wave overcame a 15-point deficit in the last five minutes.

It isn't enough to quiet the hype around Williams, with many teams thinking of him as their next franchise quarterback.
