Western attempts to allow the Russian President to save face will kill off the international order that was established after World War II according to Poland's Ambassador to the United Nations.

European Pravda cites an interview with Krzysztof Szczerski.

Szczerski said that the key question is whether there will be a turning point in the war in Ukraine.

The most important question is how the issues with Russia will be solved. Is it possible that Russian imperialism will be seen as a threat to the world order like German Nazism was in the past?

After World War II, Russia was stripped of the instruments that allowed it to play the role of a global superpower and handed over war criminals to the international court.

It could be the last nail in the coffin of the postwar order if the option of "restoring order" and allowing Putin to save face is chosen.

If Putin agreed to negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine, the West would need to think about how to address Russia's need for security guarantees, according to the president of France.

A number of European capitals criticized this statement. If anyone needed security guarantees, it was the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Under the current situation, guarantees are needed against Russia.

It would be dangerous for Ukraine and other countries to start peace negotiations with Russia too early.

He said his words had been overstated.
