Tua Tagovailoa is not expected to play in the New York Jets game.
The man told reporters that he's planning on Teddy or another one of the two leading the offense.
A number of head injuries have defined Tagovailoa's season.
After hitting the back of his head on the turf, he left the game to be evaluated but was cleared to return. The team said the fall was due to a back injury and not a concussion. Several mistakes were made in the evaluation that led to the consultant's firing.
Tagovailoa had to be hospitalized after he banged his head on the ground in a game. He missed the next two games due to the concussion protocol.
After a Week 16 loss to the Green Bay Packers, he was put back into the concussion protocol. While Tagovailoa wasn't taken out of that contest, he showed concussion symptoms on the Monday following the game and was placed in the protocols.

That meant that he would start in his place for the crucial Week 17 game against the New England Pats.
Tagovailoa has been a great player on the field. In 13 games he's thrown for 3,548 yards, 25 touchdown and eight pick ups, completing 64.8% of his passes and taking 21 sacks. He has a record of 8-5 when he is on the field.
If he gets the go-ahead for Week 18, the Dolphins will be in good hands. On the season, the veteran quarterback has thrown for 683 yards, four touchdown and four turnovers. He has lost both of his starts.
