According to text messages released by the January 6 committee, Hope Hicks said that she and others in the Trump administration looked like domestic terrorists.

During her time in the White House, she worked as a communications director and a counselor to the president. There were a lot of documents related to the final report.

The riot at the Capitol may have a negative effect on their careers.

She wrote in a text that "in one day he ended every future opportunity that doesn't include speaking engagement at the local proud boys chapter."

She said that they were all "untouchable" and "unemployable" and that it was time for them to leave the administration. The White House's director of strategic communications resigned in December of 2020 after Trump lied about winning the election.

During the Capitol riot, the author pleaded with Trump to condemn the event. On the day after, she said she stepped down because she knew where this was going.
