The ViewFinity S9 is the most interesting model for Apple users because it is the first 27-inch 5K display that will compete against Apple.
Apple has embraced the higher density for its ability to display true Retina-quality content at a reasonable size. Similar to Apple's former iMac, the ViewFinity S9 will feature a 5120 x 2880 display with a wide color gamut and improved shadows and highlights.
The ViewFinity S9 has a matt finish and is equipped with a 4K Slim Fit camera.
It will be launching early this year.
The Smart Monitor M8 is getting an update with a new 27 inch option. Both sizes have 4K resolution and are available in four different colors.
The M8 now pivots up to 90 degrees for a portrait orientation and supports different mounting solutions. The included 2K Slim Fit camera has been upgraded, and there's new mouse support for many of the included apps on the display, such as the Smart Hub for managing connected home devices and the Prime Video app.
The release date and pricing have not been announced.
The ViewFinity S9 and Smart Monitor M8 are two of the new Odyssey gaming monitors.
The Odyssey G9 is a 49-inch curved gaming monitor with a response time of 0.1 ms and a response rate of 120 hertz. The displays will launch later this year.
