The quarterbacks of Alabama, Will Anderson Jr. and Bryce Young, declared their intentions to enter the draft. There is a time and a place for it.

Three potential first-round picks at Alabama will leave school early to enter the draft.

There could be other guys in the future who make decisions about what they do. The announcement featured three players.

If the Houston Texans pick Young, he will be the top pick. The Texans have a high chance of selecting first.

The nation's top defensive player, Anderson, is predicted by McShay to be a top-three pick.

Anderson led the SEC in tackles for loss. He was the leader of the nation in pressure.

McShay thinks that Gibbs is a late first-round pick. The former Georgia Tech transfer was Alabama's leading scorer in both rushing and receiving.

The trio decided against opting out of Alabama's game in the Sugar Bowl. Young had five touchdown passes.

A former five-star prospect from Pasadena, California, Young spent his first season at Alabama as the primary backup to Mac Jones.

In his first year as a sophomore, Young threw for 47 touchdown and had seven picks. He was a part of the Alabama team that lost to Georgia in the College Football National Playoff game.

Young, despite a shoulder injury and not having the same caliber of receivers to work with as a junior, continued to excel, passing for 3,328 yards and 32 touchdown.

Young hurt his shoulder during the Arkansas game. He didn't play against Texas A&M.

When he came back, he started every game the rest of the season, and his reps were limited to limit the amount of time he spent on the field. There was no threat to Young's long-term health.

As Young's replacement, there could be backups like Ty Simpson.

In Young's absence, Milroe was the primary backup. The freshman was inconsistent as a passer, completing 31 of 53 attempts for 297 yards and five touchdown with three turnovers.

Simpson, a former four-star prospect, passed the ball for 35 yards.

Eli Holstein and Dylan Lonergan were both signed by Alabama last month.

Alabama, which lost two games during the regular season, finished fifth in the final rankings.

Middle Tennessee will be the opponent for the opening game of the next season. They will play Texas on the following Saturday.
