The quarterback for the Alabama football team is going to enter the draft.
After leading Alabama to a 45-20 victory over Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Eve, Young decided to leave the program.

B/R has Young ranked as the top quarterback in the draft. He was the most pro- ready signal- caller in the class.
Young will have to overcome some historical biases if he is to be selected with the top pick in the draft.
The Athletic's Dane Brugler wrote in October that the California native will likely be in the 5'10s by the time he arrives in the league.
If Young's height and weight come in as expected, the only quarterbacks drafted since 1997 who were shorter than 6'2” and weighed less than 200 lbs were Joe Hamilton in 2000 and Seneca Wallace in 2003
Kyler Murray is close to Young. At the time of the draft, he was 5 feet 10 and 207 pounds. He was selected by the Arizona Cards as their top pick.

In Alabama's win over Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, Young threw for 423 yards and three touchdown. Five players in the first round of the NFL draft were selected by the Georgia defense.
Young ended the year with 3,328 passing yards and 32 touchdown in 12 starts after taking a step back. In a loss to Tennessee, the 21-year-old had his best game of the year with 455 yards and two touchdown.
Young said the Sugar Bowl was his final college game. He threw for over 300 yards and five touchdown passes.
Young's size may make the predraft process more important for him. He has shown that he is good enough to win a college football game.
