An amateur golfer from Georgia received an invitation to the Masters in his mailbox.
Scott Stallings was supposed to be invited to the Masters by virtue of his qualification for the Tour Championship in 2020.
The real Scott Stallings said on Tuesday that he had been looking at his mailbox five times a day for the invitation. The other man reached out to Stallings on social media to let him know that he had it.
The man said hi to Scott. Scott Stallings is also from Georgia. I have a wife's name as well. The Masters invited me to play in the tournament in April of 2023. This is not for me. Wow, I play. Not close to your level.
Literally had been checking the mailbox five times a day and then I got this random DM yesterday 🫠 pic.twitter.com/yMvUYm3ioK

The invitation was forwarded by the man.
The package was complete with everything needed to attend. We have some confusion because of our names and location.
The last time Stallings won on the PGA Tour was at the Farmers Insurance Open. The last time he played in the Masters was when he missed the cut. His only other appearance in 2012 was at the Augusta National, where he tied for 27th.
