According to the National Transportation Safety Board, an airline ground crew worker died on Saturday after being inadvertently into the engine of a plane in Alabama.

The worker was in the engine of the plane while it was parked at the gate, according to CBS. According to CBS, the agency said it has begun an investigation.

The worker was employed by Piedmont Airlines, a subsidiary of the American Airlines Group, according to the airport.
