Raheem Sterling (right) volleys Chelsea's opening goal against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League
Raheem Sterling's opener was his 50th away goal in the Premier League across his time at Liverpool, Manchester City and now Chelsea

It was a good point for Forest in their fight to stay in the top flight.

After Boly had hit a cross onto his own bar, Sterling volleyed home.

Morgan Gibbs-White hit a strike off the bar as Forest attacked after the break.

Serge Aurier was calm when he volleyed home the tying goal.

Since Graham Potter took over as head coach of the club, they have only won one league game and are seven points behind fourth-place Manchester United.

After going behind for the first time this season, Forest were able to claim a point and move up to 18th.

Crowd drive Forest to result

In the first half, Forest wanted to use the pace of Brennan Johnson in front of the defence and he came close to scoring in a one-on-one with Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Despite falling behind early on the atmosphere at the City Ground built throughout the half, inspired in part by the crowd becoming frustrated by the performance of referee Peter Bankes

Steve Cooper's team jumped out of the blocks after the break, with Johnson having an effort saved before Gibbs-White hit the underside of the bar with a wonderful strike.

It took a superb piece of finishing from defender Aurier to earn them a point but with more additions likely to be on their way in the January transfer window, they have a chance of survival.

There's more to come.
