According to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Michael Bidwill hasn't made a decision on the future of Kliff Kingsbury.

The Cards missed out on the playoffs for the third year in a row and are 4-11 with two games to go.

Steve Keim, who is on an indefinite leave of absence due to health reasons, was given an extension by Arizona. That makes firing one or both a costly exercise for the organization, though plenty of fans will argue that shouldn't stop them from making necessary change.

This isn't where the team was expected to be. A trip to the playoffs in four years is not enough.

Kyler Murray has yet to make a true breakthrough, which is what Kingsbury was supposed to help deliver.

In 10 games, Murray had thrown for 2,358 yards, 14 touchdown and seven turnovers. His passing yards per game were slightly higher than in his first year, but his passer rating was the same. The Pro Bowler is 19th in QBR.

In December, Jeremy Fowler and Josh Weinfuss gave an insight into the internal drama of the Cards. The relationships with Keim and Murray have soured over the last two years.

According to the report, a source said that Kingsbury hasn't received the resources he thinks are necessary to win.

Say what you will of Keim, but he has done a lot to help the team.

If the Cards don't have anything to play for in the last two weeks, it's not surprising that Bidwill hasn't made a decision on Kingsbury. It wouldn't mean that all of their problems are solved if they beat the Falcons and 49ers.

The Denver Broncos parted ways with Nathaniel Hackett before he finished his first season. Following a 51-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the Denver Broncos didn't think it was necessary to keep Hackett on.

One can assume that Kingsbury might get at least one more year to fix the ship.
