Badiashile will have a medical on Monday and will be joining the Blues.

Sky Sports News reported in December that the West London club were in advanced talks with the player.

The profile of Badiashile, one of the best young left-footed centre-backs in Europe, has been the subject of interest from the Blues.

The medical was given to the 18-year-old by the Blues.

The strategy of signing talented young players has been pursued by the club since Todd Boehly took control. A number of people have signed for the club.

Could Benoit Badiashile be on his way to Chelsea?
French Football expert Jonathan Johnson casts his eye on the transfer rumours surrounding Monaco central defender Benoit Badiashile and a possible move to Chelsea - but are the French club likely to sell?

Jonathan Johnson is a french football expert.

He is a very good player. Someone who will become a top defender in the future. I don't think he's as prepared as some of the players we've seen come from France to play in the English top flight.

I don't think he's close to being at the level of someone like William orWesley. Kurt Zouma was a polished version of him when he was in the premier league. He has the attributes to succeed, even though he needs time to develop.

His build makes him good in the air and he reads the ball very well. I think he would be a good fit for the premier league.

Carra: Chelsea are trying to buy every player in the world

Jamie Carragher is a Sky Sports commentator.

Every time I pick up a paper, I see someone being signed by the team.

They are going for every player in the world. When Roman Abramovich first came in, I thought it might be the end of the club, but it seems like that's not the case anymore. It doesn't seem to be the case at the moment.

"It looks like they're trying to throw their money around to try and get in the best players to the club, which is what they've been doing for the last 10 to 15 years." It seems like Todd Boehly is scouting the air for players and I expect them to be busy.
