Georgia was trailing Ohio State by 11 points with about nine minutes left in the game. One yard short of a first down, the Ohio State quarterback was pulled down by the Georgia defense.

The punt team was sent out by Ryan Day to kick the ball back to the other team. The Ohio State football team was lined up in a fake punt formation. Smart called timeout just before the tight end ran for a first down. The first down was nullified by the sideline official blowing his whistle for a timeout.

Smart said that they were in a fake formation People were yelling in the box. We were not lined up correctly.

The turning point in Georgia's victory over Ohio State was Smart's timeout. Georgia came back to win the game in the fourth quarter.

The first team to win back-to-back national titles in the CFP era will be decided on January 9th. The third-ranked Frogs beat the second-ranked Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl.

Ohio State's Noah Ruggles missed a 50-yard field goal attempt in the final seconds of the game to allow the bulldogs to win their 16th game in a row. Georgia has won three times this season at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

It was an emotional roller coaster. There was a back and forth game. It was a question of who was going to blink. The two teams are fighting.

If Smart hadn't called the best timeout of his career, the team wouldn't be playing for a title.

When you burn the timeout, you can't get the ball back, that's why I didn't want to. You cannot get the ball back if you don't have timeouts. Three fakes have been on us. The people are faking. We are going to call timeout if we think it is a fake.

Georgia scored on the next play after Ohio State punted the ball back to them. Smith was 10 yards away when Lathan Ransom fell down on the play. Bennett ran a two-point conversion to cut the lead to 38-35.

Bennett said that the pass to Smith made the guy fall. People cannot do things that dude can. He can run and catch the ball. The whole sideline stood up and said "He's open!" when I saw him. I tried to put it on him and let him complete the task.

A field goal by the Buckeyes gave them a 41-35 lead. Georgia needed a touchdown to have a chance of winning. Bennett told his teammates to stay in the huddle.

Bennett said that he looked at everyone and said, "All right, hey, we haven't played our best, and we haven't done our jobs to the best of our ability." We are here now." We have control of it now. The defense was up to the task. What would you prefer to be? If you score a touchdown, you win the game.

Bennett was great on the last drive. He scored the go-ahead touchdown with 54 seconds to go.

Bennett didn't play well for the majority of the first three quarters. After the Ohio State went ahead 14-7 early in the second quarter, Bennett made a bad throw to Kenny McIntosh, which was picked off by Steele Chambers at the Georgia 30. The touchdown was thrown to Marvin Harrison Jr. three plays later.

After Georgia fought back to trim Ohio State's lead to 28-24 late in the first half, Bennett almost threw an pick six. He was lectured by Smart as they left the field.

Smart said that he wanted to be aggressive at the time. We decided to play a game. The ball was hit by them. Another play was called by us. He put us at risk by throwing the ball over the middle while he was in the pocket. If we are going to trust you, you have to make good decisions. Take off and run if it isn't there.

They missed a field goal after three-and-out in the second half. They were behind 38-24 at the end of the third quarter. Georgia reached Ohio State's 3-yard line, but then Bennett threw a backward pass to a teammate who fumbled the ball and lost a yard. On the play, Smart didn't even think about throwing to McConkey. Bennett was supposed to throw the ball to the other side. The field goal made it 38-27.

The Mailman delivered when Georgia needed Bennett the most.

That is him." Todd Monken said that it was him. You are always with him. I don't know how to say it, but he is capable of putting his body on the line and making plays to win the game. What happened before then isn't important.

A year ago, when the University of Georgia won their first national championship in 41 years, they relied on a historically talented defense that included five players who were selected in the first round of the NFL draft. Georgia's offense had to do a lot. The Bulldogs didn't have an answer for the quarterback.

Georgia didn't really slow the game down until Harrison Jr. was knocked out of the game on a crushing hit by defensive back Javon Bullard. The call was reversed due to instant replay.

Smart said that they didn't play their best game. It had to do with Ohio State. We have to play better football if we want to win a national championship.

Georgia will attempt to become the first team to win back-to-back national titles in four years. Bennett, who started his career as a walk-on and left Georgia for a year to play at a junior college, will attempt to become the first quarterback to lead his team to back-to-back national titles since A.J. McCarron.

The legend isn't over according to the center of the team.
