According to the Financial Times, Meta is going to announce if Donald Trump will be allowed to return to social media.
A source with knowledge of the matter tells the UK publication that the social media giant will make a decision later this month.
Trump's account was suspended by Facebook in January 2021.
A team led by the then-vice president for global affairs and communications, Nick Clegg, upheld the ban in June 2021.
The former UK deputy prime minister is likely to make a decision about the ban.
When Facebook changed its name to Meta in October of 2021, the CEO pivoted to focus on the metaverse.
He became Meta's president of global affairs in February of last year.
As Trump prepares to run for a second non-consecutive term as president, Meta's potentially divisive ruling will come as well.
The decision on whether to lift Trump's suspension would be made later in the month, but it had previously promised.
In November, Musk unbanned Trump, but he is yet to return to the platform.
The former president has continued to post on Truth Social, the right-wing social media platform he founded in October 2021, despite the fact that they were suspended.
Meta did not reply immediately.
