Donald Trump's New Year's Eve celebration at Mar-a-Lago included a media conference, a video of Rudy Giuliani ringing in the New Year, and no major news stations covered it.

The caption on the video said "Mar-a-Lago 2023 New Year headed right to 2024!". Giuliani can be heard saying "Here we are at Mar-a-Lago..." before a live band starts playing a cover of "Footloose" so loudly that nothing that Giuliani says is audible.

Giuliani did not seem to notice that people were dancing around him and photobombing the camera.

Giuliani's name came up after the House Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot revealed that the Trump lawyer tried to leave a message for GOP Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama prior to President Joe Biden's certification.

In the voice message, Giuliani said that the certification process should be delayed. Robert O'Brien was texting Lee that Giuliani was a "walking malpractice" after hearing the message.

During a media conference before the party, Trump dodged questions about whether or not he would support a national abortion ban.

He said "world peace" before going on a rant about the Ukraine war and strong borders.

The press conference ended before Trump and his wife left.
