The boxer is going back to the ring.

He signed a deal with the promotion that will allow him to compete in 2023.

He said that he would fight next year and that his opponent would be decided by Rizin. I'm looking forward to fighting a Japanese fighter.

In both of the last two years, Rizin has worked with Floyd Floyd Jr. Both of those bouts were exhibitions, so that will likely be the plan for the boxer.

He lost a unanimous decision to Yordenis Ugas in August of 2021. He took a break from boxing to focus on his political career.

In lieu of padding his career record, Pacquiao has begun to make money by playing exhibitions. He received a unanimous decision over the other day.

The former eight-division world champion expressed the hope of fighting again to avenge his 2015 defeat, but wondered if the feeling was mutual.

He told FightHype.com that he doesn't think he'll get a chance to fight him again. I don't believe so. He's scared to death to fight again, and that's my analysis, and I'm thinking about a second fight with him.

Since he said he would oppose a Japanese fighter, he will divert his attention to another place. It's possible that the event will be enough to get Floyd's attention.
