Who would want to follow a year like 2022.

NASA's moon-to-Mars campaign that will return astronauts to deep space was one of the highlights of the new Space Age. The US space agency moved an asteroid to prove it could.

The year of the lunar landers could become known as the year of the hottest launch pads. The stage is set for NASA's Artemis and a future lunar economy. The private sector is being recruited to deliver cargo to the moon thanks to the Commercial lunar payload services program.

Some of the upcoming space missions will lift off this year.

To the wise, consider these no- earlier-than dates. Jim Free, NASA's associate administrator for exploration systems development, said that if you plan a week trip to Florida for vacation, you could see a launch.

The landers will be sent to the near side of the moon. The landers will study how rocket exhaust and space weather affect the lunar surface. The mission is going to be launched on a rocket.

Five NASA instruments, as well as other unrelated commercial pieces of cargo, will be carried by the six-sided cylinder standing on six legs. It's a fun fact that the landers will stay warm in the cold. Some of the insulation material from Columbia Sportswear was used on the spaceship.

Astrobotic was selected by NASA to deliver instruments and experiments to the moon. The mission is expected to leave Earth in the first quarter of the next century.

Astrobotic is going to send a rover to drill for ice on the moon in the future. The U.S. space agency wants to test the instruments before the crewless water-hunting mission. The lake of death is a lava plain in the northeastern part of the moon.

NASA's mega moon rocket has about the same amount of launch power as the Starship, but it is 400 feet taller.

NASA plans to use the Starship to ferry astronauts from its lunar base to the moon's surface. Musk wants to use a fleet of spaceships to build a settlement on Mars.

This monstrous machine will be the first of its kind. The rest of us are being kept on a need to know basis. Musk said it would happen before the end of the year.

Some of the crewless moon missions will not leave from Florida. The Japanese space agency, known as JAXA, will send a lander to the moon to demonstrate advanced landing techniques.

The purpose of the SLIM mission is to investigate the moon. The Tanegashima Space Center is in Japan.

India gets do-over for failed moon mission: June 2023

India's space agency will try again to send a lander and rover to the moon's south pole, following the crash of the Chandrayaan-2 mission.

The Indian Space Research Organization plans to use a similar rover as the one used in the previous failed mission in order to help stick the landing. The mission will be launched from Sriharikota, a barrier island in southeastern India.

Mission to deliver a NASA moon rover: June 2023

A NASA rover is going to be sent to the south pole of the moon later in the year. The purpose of this mission is to land and test a drill and mass spectrometer, a device that can identify particles in a substance.

NASA's lunar cargo will be on this flight as well. The moon will be mapped out with the help of a satellite. The launch of the mission will take place in June.

The soviet Union sent many robotic spaceships to the moon, but the upcoming Luna 25 will be the first Russian lunar mission.

The Russian space agency wants to send a landers to the moon. It will look at the moon's atmosphere and soil. The spaceship will be launched on a rocket from a Vostochny Cosmodrome.

The European Space Agency was supposed to help with the landing of the mission by providing a camera. The European part of the deal was pulled out due to the conflict in the Middle East.

For the first time, NASA will study an asteroid mostly made of metals, like iron and nickel.

Some planetary scientists believe that the space rock 16 Psyche is all that's left of an ancient planet after it was destroyed in a collision.

Don't let your hats fall. The main asteroid belt destination will not be reached until August 2029. About three years into the journey, the Mars gravity assist is required. The mission is going to be launched on a rocket from Florida.

European mission heads to Jupiter's moons: 2023

The European Space Agency wants to fly by three of Jupiter's icy moons and one of them, known as Ganymede, in order to get to the planet.

Maybe it's fitting that the "Juice" mission is intended to focus its research on the mythical name of Jupiter's personal cupholder.

The Ariane 5 rocket is used by the European Space Agency in French Guiana. After seven years on a space ship. In 2031, it will use gravity to go around Jupiter. Along the way, it will look out for Jupiter's moons.
