A couple of months ago, Korean Air had a crash landing. The plane looks different now than it did before.

Korean Air A330 that crash landed has new exterior

A Korean Air plane had an accident while attempting to land in the Philippines. Two go arounds were performed by the pilots because of the bad weather. A runway overrun occurred after the plane entered a holding pattern. There were no deaths on the plane.

The plane won't fly again because of the damage.

Due to weather and plane malfunctions Korean Air #KE631 (likely due to an earlier landing attempt) we were informed to prepare for emergency landing procedures in Cebu at around 11:10-11:25pm local time 10/23/22. What is the newest with this jet? The car is parked at the end of the runway at the airport. It doesn't look familiar. Korean Air branding has been covered up by a new exterior of the plane. I don't know if this is some sort of film that was placed on the plane or if it is an actual paint job.

the remains of flight KE631 from Seoul to Cebu…the Korean Air A330-300 HL7525 overran the runway on Oct. 23rd, 2022 at the third landing after two go-arounds due to brake failure during heavy thunderstorm…no injuries were reported.

The plane looks suspiciously like an Aer Lingus plane as noted byAirlineFlyer.

This is a common practice in the airline industry

I can appreciate that no airline wants a crashed plane with its branding parked somewhere for the public to see, but I still don't think it's appropriate to cover up branding in these situations. There are other airlines that do something like this.

One of the first orders of business was to cover up the plane's logo. The Korean Air plane is not the same as the one in Thailand, but it is obvious who the plane is for. The attention of the plane is drawn by covering up the logos in this way.

The Alitalia plane had a white exterior when it had a landing accident in Rome.

Bottom line

The Korean Air A330 that was involved in a crash in the Philippines has not moved, but it is not the same as before. The green exterior of the plane almost resembles an Aer Lingus plane.

It's a common trend in the airline industry.

The Korean Air A330 has a new exterior.
