Some types of cooking oils are a kitchen staple that many people don't think about before buying them. When it comes to vegetable and canola oils, we may pay more attention to how virgin or extra virgin it is, but that is not necessarily the case.

Since the lawsuit was filed, there has been a lot of back-and-forth.
Over the course of a decade, the label on various Wesson Oil products indicated that they were natural. The complaint was filed against ConAgra because they claimed that the ingredients in their products were genetically modified.
According to the complaint, the customers were forced to pay more for Wesson oils due to the false and deceptive claim. ConAgra agreed to a $3 million settlement in the class-action lawsuit, but denied any wrongdoing.
You don't know if you qualify for part of the settlement. The website says how to tell.
You need to be a resident of at least one of the 11 states in order to claim some of the $3 million.
The products include vegetable oil, canola oil, corn oil, and best blend and must have been purchased for personal consumption.

People who fit the criteria and submit valid claims can receive 15 cents per unit of Wesson Oil purchased in their state. Consumers will receive less per unit if ConAgra is correct in estimating that 200 million bottles of oil will be submitted.
There is a limit to how many claims can be submitted per household.
