There was an offensive message on the main screen of the stadium.

Brian Rourke was found with a serious head injury after his team lost to Queens Park Rangers.

A derogatory term was used for someone who had a brain injury at the game.

The person who submitted the message was being investigated by the club.

During the game at the London club's Loftus Road stadium, the message was seen by the crowd.

The man was placed on life support after he was critically injured.

He was no longer on a life support machine but would need extensive rehabilitation.

Mrs Rourke said her husband needed to relearn how to walk and talk.

Brian is going to come back. She said that it would be a long road but that they would get there.

Jack Ellicott is due to stand trial in September for causing grievous bodily harm.

It was a huge disappointment for the club.

The team that operates the big screen didn't know the true identity of the person in the message.

The uncle of a Queens Park Rangers fan had been seriously injured in an accident.

It can be difficult to identify incidents like this because we receive hundreds of messages and photos throughout the season.

"On behalf of the club, I would like to make a public apology to all who were upset by the posting of the message, in particular Brian Rourke and his family."

They will face a lifetime ban from the road if we can identify them.

We are looking at ways to make sure this doesn't happen again.
