According to a report by TheDraftNetwork.com, Josh Dobbs will start for the TennesseeTitans against the Dallas Cowboys. The news was confirmed by Tom Pelissero of the network.

It will be the first time he starts.

Ryan Tannehill's backup this season has been selected in the third round of the NFL draft by the Tennessee TITANS. In Tannehill's place, he has started three games.

He was one of the more promising quarterbacks in the draft class. He spent his junior and senior years at Liberty after transferring from auburn.

The 22-year-old had a good season in which he completed 61.1% of his passes for 2,857 yards and 27 touchdown. He also scored 13 times.

The team has gone 1-2 in his starts this year. He has thrown for only 281 yards, no touchdown and three turnovers while completing just 50.8 percent of his passes. He has scored a touchdown.

He has appeared in six games in the National Football League. He has completed 10 of his 17 pass attempts for 45 yards and no touchdown.

With Tannehill still injured, the team had to make a decision between the rookies and veterans. According to reports, they chose the latter.
