Delta was the timeliest U.S. airline in 2022

Delta was the timeliest large airline in North America in the year 2022.

Alaska Airlines arrived on time at an 81.6% clip.

The DOT defines on time as flights that arrive within 15 minutes of their scheduled time.

Hawaiian didn't operate enough flights to get into the rankings. The carrier has an on-time percentage of 87.7% so far this year.

DOT data shows that domestic Delta flights were on-time 80.7% of the time in the first half of the year. The most recent month for which the DOT has published data is September, when the carrier's performance improved sharply.

American was the most timely airline, followed by Southwest and Allegiant. The ranking didn't includeSpirit.

Air Canada is the lowest ranked Canadian carrier. Sixty-six percent of the time this year, WestJet has been on time. Air Canada has a good on-time record.

The vast majority of flights in North America arrived on time. The annual ranking runs through December 15.
