You are not alone if you are having issues using the social networking site. Dozens of users are reporting various errors, saying they are getting messages that they have exceeded their rate limit, or that the site appears to be broken.

According to DownDetector.com, there was a spike in the number of reports for the social networking site.

There are many instances of the desktop site logging out suddenly. When I click on the log in button, the site doesn't prompt me for a usernames or passwords, it just reloads.

At least one of my coworkers does not use the mobile app for work. The problems have varied, disappeared, and recurred over the last thirty minutes.

Many users have reported issues with the service since Musk fired a large amount of staff. Despite some predictions, the site has mostly stayed up since, even during events like the World Cup or when one of the more sensitive server Racks is unplugged.

Now that it seems to have hit a problem, the question is how quickly it will recover. It would be a shame to see it return to the bad days of the fail whale, although it has had some instability.

The company didn't respond to a request for comment, but is widely reported to have dissolved its press office.
