Incoming GOP congressman George Santos is under investigation for lying during his campaign, prosecutors said

The incoming Republican congressman is being investigated by prosecutors in New York.

An investigation by the New York Times found that Santos had made a lot of false claims during his campaign. He insists that he still plans to serve in Congress.

Anne T. Donnelly is a Republican and district attorney in Nassau County. The office of the district attorney did not reply immediately.
