A court in the Dominican Republic convicted 10 of the 13 people who were accused of trying to kill David.

According to Nicole Acevedo of NBC News, the sentences ranged from five to 30 years and were related to the shooting of a man at a bar in his home country.

The 10 men have to pay 50 million pesos.

There wasn't enough evidence to acquit the other three people.

The longest sentence was 30 years and it was given to two people. The attorney general's office said they were involved in the attempt to kill them.

The Hall of Famer was said to have been shot while riding a motorcycle.

The man was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Rodrguez Mota is the person who paid the people who carried out the act.

Seven men were sentenced to less than 10 years.

He underwent a number of operations.

He played in the Major League Baseball for the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox. He is a legend because of his role in ending the Red Sox's title drought.

He has three World Series titles, a World Series Most Valuable Player, seven Silver Sluggers, 10 All-Star selections, and a Home Run Derby title.
