Luka Doncic scored the first 60-point triple-double in NBA history as the Dallas Mavericks beat the New York Knicks in overtime.
The Slovenian racked up 60 points, 21 rebound and 10 assists, as well as posting double figures in three important attacking metrics.
He scored a jumper to force overtime after missing a free throw and grabbing a rebound in the final seconds of the game.
He said he needed a beer.
The youngest player in NBA history to record a 50-point tripe-double is 19-year-old Luka Doncic.
With less than 45 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, the hosts were down by more than 100 points.
The highlight of Doncic's team's renaissance was his decision to intentionally throw his free-throw attempt against the backboard, claim the ball in the ensuing melee and drain his shot.
He admitted that he was fortunate to have thrown it up. It's an amazing feeling that we came back after being down.
Doncic's stellar game received praise from across the league and from some of the game's greatest players.
"We are watching greatness. I've never seen anything like that ever," Mavericks owner Mark Cuban tweeted.
DeMar DeRozan of the Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards' Kyle Kuzma were among the present-day stars to express admiration, while two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant compared Doncic's numbers to something out of a "video game" rather than reality.
The Dallas Mavericks are sixth in the Western Conference and have won four-straight games.
The Los Angeles Lakers ended a four-game losing streak with a win over the Magic.
