A Mexican restaurant is taking over the location of Lauren Boebert's shuttered firearm themed restaurant.
Boebert supported the idea of building a wall between the United States and Mexico while he was in congress.
She said in May that "millions of illegals including rapists, drug dealers, and criminals on the terrorist watch list have crossed the southern border" and called for his removal.
Before joining Congress, Boebert opened a restaurant in Colorado that served "M16 burrito" and "bump stock corned beef hash."
Boebert said that the landlord did not renew its lease and that the restaurant closed. The New York Times reported that the landlord had evicted the congresswoman's campaign office.
Boebert said that the decision was his to make and that it was a business one.
Boebert's office didn't reply to Insider's request.
Now that Boebert's restaurant has closed, it appears that the location will be filled by a Mexican restaurant called Tapatios Family Mexican Restaurant, which has a sign on its front window.
The location of the new restaurant was verified by Insider, who found it at the same location as the previous one.
Dan Meskin, the principal owner of Milken Enterprises, didn't reply to Insider's request for comment.
