The money was given to those who needed transportation. People traveled in packs of four for sustenance from the corner store that he paid for. He kept the power on.
Elston said that this was a tragedy. People who are not from Buffalo don't understand how bad the weather is. This is the worst I have ever witnessed.
Elston said he felt an obligation to let people stay at the shop because other businesses were charging people to stay.
People said I saved their lives when I said it was free.
People have been calling Elston a hero. I tell them that I am not a hero. I am just a person with a heart.
Elston said he felt like he was supposed to do it. People are without lights while I sit in a warm place. People are without food and drinks. I have access to all those things, and I have all those things as well. I won't be selfish.
