There's no chance of a reunion between the Cincinnati Bengal and Andrew Whitworth.

Taylor chuckled at the idea of Whitworth coming to Cincinnati to play right tackle. Taylor all but ruled out Whitworth.

Taylor said that they have good people in the building.

La'el Collins, the team's starting right tackle, is likely to miss the rest of the season with a left knee injury. Taylor doesn't think Collins will be able to return.

When an offensive lineman gets injured, his social media notifications get busy, according to a new interview with Andrew. When Collins got injured, that was even more true.

The Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Reds in the Superbowl. He finished his career with two All-Pro selections, four Pro Bowl appearances, and the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. After playing left tackle for the next 11 seasons for Cincinnati, he was traded to the Rams and spent the next five years there. This season, Whitworth has been part of Amazon Prime Video's coverage of the National Football League.

He said on the "The Season with Peter Schrager" that he has never ruled out coming back.

"For me, just who I am, I've said this since the day I retired, I'll never say never," he said. There's always a possibility. I like to travel. I like to take chances.

He noted that he spent most of his career as a left tackle and that it was difficult to make the switch to right tackle. He said that a return would not be about tarnishing his legacy but about not letting down future teammates.

"I don't want to mess up their chances, not knowing what I'm capable of," he said.

Hakeem is projected to replace Collins for the remainder of the season. He played both sides of the line of scrimmage during his college career at the University of Kansas. He made four starts at left tackle and one at right tackle as a rookies. The final nine games of last season were started by Adeniji.

Last year it was a new guard. It's more of a natural tackling style. I feel better because of that full camp and early season.

Taylor wouldn't say if he was in the starting lineup for the game against the Bills. If Cincinnati's scouting department presents any potential options, he will consider them.

The fourth-year coach still trusts those on the roster.

"We've got guys that we've had in here developing, working in our system, that we've got a high degree of trust in that can help us do the things that we need to this year."

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that the tight end could be ready for the Bills game. He has been out with a calf injury. He was taken out of the game for precautionary reasons.

He would be in great shape this week if we could give it another nine days. Very positive about him.
