Rob Gronkowski

According to Ian Rapoport, Rob Gronkowski is considering a return to football. On December 21st, he wrote, "I'm kinda bored." A number of teams reached out to him to see if he was serious.

With the playoffs a fortnight away, the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants, and of course, the Buccaneers, could all use his services.

The idea of mercenary Gronk, who comes every January from the set of a USAA commercial to provide a team with 200 plus receiving yards and a few touchdown to try and help boost them to a Super Bowl championship, could be fun. That is not a goal for him.

Rapaport said on Gameday Morning that Gronk is not interested in coming out of retirement this season, but there is a chance that he would return to the field in the future. Tom Brady is a free agent next year, so maybe we could team up.

On the Up, Up and Adams show, Gronkowski said that he has no desire to return to the field this year. He isn't thinking about playing football at the moment. He did not completely rule out a return to the league.

He needs to stay in it for the rest of his life because he doesn't want to put the pads back on. If Brady decides to continue his football career in a new location, he might be tempted to call. If Brady is calling for anything other than a golf date or another advertising opportunity, he needs to say "no"

Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez are two of the greatest tight ends of all time, but not every player is meant to be like them. He was the greatest to ever play his position. He was a force on the football field. Every year in which he played at least 12 games, he had at least 1,000 receiving yards. He caught at least 10 touchdown passes.

All of the injuries that he suffered on the field made his time in the NFL feel short. It took four surgeries to heal his broken arm. Gronk had to play in a device that looked like Tony Stark's. With four Super Bowl rings, he isn't in need of more jewelry, as he will be a first-ballot Hall of Fame player.

You don't want to go there.

A training camp is held. It takes six months of your life to watch film. You have to chip him when he comes.

When the safeties knock your legs out from under you, you will get younger and more angry.

You saw the Dolphins play their first few games of the season, as well as the cold weather that hit the country during the holidays. It's not a good place to be in your 30s during climate change.

Rob Gronkowski, stay home and count your money, that's what I want you to know.
