Tennis Australia confirmed that Novak Djokovic arrived in Australia almost a year after he was deported for opposing the vaccine.

As he prepares for a shot at a 10th Australian Open title, the man known as "Djoker" will open his campaign in Adelaide.

The 21-time major winner has been granted a visa by the Australian government and will be playing at the Adelaide International.

The governing body confirmed that the Serbian star arrived in the city.

The director of the Australian Open said at the news conference that the Serbian player had arrived.

Tiley said thatNovak is welcome in Australia. He's going to be the player to beat at the Australian Open again, I think, as we speak.

The Australian Open takes place in January.

He missed last year's Grand Slam because of his refusal to be vaccine free. The rules for unvaccinated travelers have been removed by Australia.

Immigration Minister Andrew Giles confirmed last month that the man had been granted a visa after being deported.

He has won the Australian Open a record nine times. Nadal won the title in absentia.

There are still questions about how Australian fans will be received by Novak. According to Tiley, he believed that Djokovic would be well received.

Tiley has a lot of faith in the Australian public. People who come to the tennis are well educated. They love seeing great tennis and great matches.

I have a lot of faith that the fans will respond in a respectful way.
