Two weeks from now, one of the best careers in football history will come to a close. J.J. Watt said he will retire at the end of the season.

The 3-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year made a surprise announcement on his social media page Tuesday morning, thanking his two-month-old son for watching his last home game.

"Koa's first ever football game," Watt said. I've never been to a home football game.

My heart is full of love. It has been an honor.

The stars from all over the sports world sent their best wishes to Watt on his legendary career. It's much respect 99.

He played the majority of his career with the Houston Texans after being the 11th overall pick in the NBA draft. He played for Arizona in the last two seasons.

Watt was an All-Pro five times. He won the Walter Payton Man of the Year in the National Football League.

He may not be on the field after this season as he has a baby with Kealia Ohai Watt.

J.J.'s last two games are against the Falcons and the 49ers.

J.J., you're doing a great job.
