One of the FBI's most wanted fugitives was captured in Mexico after he was discovered to have been working as a yoga instructor under a number of false identities.

Leon Ferrara, a yoga instructor in Guadalajara, was reported missing by his students the week before Christmas.

The man who had fled the U.S. after being accused of murdering an accounting professor at American University in Washington, D.C., was actually named Ferrara.

Landeros was a prime suspect in the murder of the victim, who was found dead in the basement of her home.

While on the run, a San Diego-based pornographer was arrested.

According to The Washington Post, agents of the FBI identified a possible motive for the murder of Landeros and his student, after determining that they developed close financial ties and had a life insurance policy.

Marcus Jones, chief of the Montgomery County Police Department, accused Landeros of being involved in the murder.

Landeros was born in Mexico and hid there for 12 years. He was put on the FBI's "most wanted" list after being charged with murder and flight to avoid prosecution.

Criminals are being held on a string of RIDE-SHARE CARJACKINGS, KIDNAPPINGS, AND ASSAULTS.

In an interview with El Pais, Landeros said that he was innocent and that he never followed his case in the news over the past 10 years.

I didn't watch anything. "After I left the radar, I forgot about the investigation." I don't know how to respond to the name "Jorge", I don't have any of him left in me.

The Justice Department is preparing an indictment against an ex-ABC news producer.

Landeros told the outlet that he wasn't in that place at the time and that he had a more intimate relationship with her.

Mementos and notes of affection and loss are posted on the office door of American University Business Professor Sue Ann Marcum, who was killed during an apparent home invasion in her Bethesda, Maryland home on Oct. 26, 2010.

He didn't know if it was weeks before what happened when he last saw her.

He thought he would never be caught, according to Jones.

The yoga student told El Pais that she was in shock after she learned the truth.

I think I'm grieving. She knows Len but she doesn't know who he is. I'll have to ask a lot of questions if I ever get the chance to sit down with him.

The FBI didn't respond to a request for comment.
