The rugby career of Shaunagh Brown came to an end as she watched her team lose to Bristol Bears.

After the game, the England international was lifted onto the shoulders of her teammates.

"I thought 'That's another minute gone' every minute," Brown said.

If I'm in, I'm in." It's difficult to go into things with a lot of heart. The day was about us winning.

The win moved Quins to third in the table, leapfrogging Bristol.

Amy Cokayne scored the first of her three tries in the fifth minute as Quins got off to a good start.

Quins capitalised with a second Cokayne try and Jade Konkel-Roberts scored a third under the posts, after Bears'Ellie Mulhearn was shown a yellow for a high tackle.

A driving maul from a line-out led to a try for Cokayne just before the half-time break, as well as a bonus point try.

The first try of the second half came from a rolling maul and was converted by Lagi Tuima to give Quins a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

With five minutes remaining, Quins were back in control, but that was followed by Grace White's solo try to give Bears a two-try cushion.

After crossing the line, Quins' had the final say, but they failed to add an extra point.
